About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Operating Room Duration: 12 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years; First timers accepted License: GA or Compact license required Certifications: BLS Required; ACLS Preferred Must-Have: Orthopedic and Neuro experience required Ability to circulate and perform conscious sedation Trauma experience preferred Description: The position requires a skilled registered nurse with a minimum of two years of experience in the operating room. Candidates with previous trauma experience are preferred, but first timers are also accepted. The patient population ranges from pediatrics to geriatrics. The nurse will be responsible for circulating in the operating room and performing conscious sedation. Experience with a ratio of 1:1 in a surgical environment is required. Knowledge of Pyxis and Epic systems is preferred. The nurse may need to respond to call shifts as part of the role. If one major holiday falls during the assignment period, the nurse is expected to work it. If more than one major holiday occurs, the nurse is expected to work at least two of the holidays. Compliance with onboarding requirements is necessary to start on time. The successful candidate will be reviewed by clinical staff to determine clinical fit.
