Retail Sales Associate - Kiosk Mall of America
$18 per hourSwedish Gift Store
Job Description
Job Description
Job Summary:
As a Retail Sales Associate, you'll run our Christmas kiosk cart at Mall of America. You'll greet passing shoppers, share the stories behind our Scandinavian products, help people find the perfect gift, and complete sales. Kiosk work is open, social, and fast-paced during the holidays, and you'll often be the only person on shift, so you'll have real ownership of the cart. This position starts during the holiday season, with opportunities to continue beyond it.
What We Offer:
• $18 per hour + Possible management
• Employee discount
• Flexible scheduling during mall hours
• Opportunities for continued employment after the holiday season
• A friendly, small-business team
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet and engage shoppers with a warm, welcoming attitude
• Learn about our products and help customers choose gifts
• Complete sales using our easy-to-learn point-of-sale system
• Set up and close down the kiosk cart at the start and end of each shift
• Keep the cart secure, stocked, tidy, and attractive throughout the day
• Communicate with the owner about inventory and customer requests
Qualifications:
• Friendly, outgoing personality and confidence approaching shoppers as they walk by
• Comfortable working on your own at a mall kiosk, often as the only person on shift
• Retail or customer service experience a plus, but not required
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes up to 25 lbs
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Availability for evenings and weekends during the holiday season
About Us:
Swedish Gift Store is a locally owned specialty retailer based in Lindström, MN. We offer a curated selection of Scandinavian gifts, home goods, and seasonal items. This holiday season we're bringing our products to shoppers at a Christmas kiosk cart in Mall of America, and we're hiring several friendly, outgoing people to join our team.
