Job Overview The Wastewater Plant Apprentice will assist in the operation and maintenance of the wastewater treatment processes, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and standards. This role plays a critical part in supporting the company’s mission of saving water and protecting the environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the operation and maintenance of our wastewater treatment processes, collaborating with colleagues to ensure efficient and environmentally responsible practices. Monitor valves, screeners, and cake disposal. Restock and change out chemical totes and other chemicals. Respond to emergencies, such as equipment failures, power outages, or chemical spills, to minimize environmental impact and ensure continued operation. Coordinate the Drivers and unload the tankers efficiently. Work with other technicians, drivers, and supervisors as needed Communicate effectively with team members and report any issues or abnormalities. Train new employees and share knowledge with team members. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; and a minimum of 1-2 years of field work experience. Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately. Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach to learning. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
