Saw/Fabricator

Condux International Inc., a manufacturer of specialized tools for power and fiber optic cable installation, is seeking a Saw/Fabricator. In this hands-on role, you will operate saws and fabrication equipment to cut and prepare metal and composite components to exact specifications. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, measuring and inspecting parts, performing basic machine setup and maintenance, and following rigorous safety and quality standards. You’ll collaborate with engineers and production teams, support continuous improvement efforts, and help build reliable products used by utilities and contractors worldwide. Responsibilities Operate saws and fabrication equipment to cut and prepare metal and composite components to specification Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and measurement drawings for precise fabrication Measure, mark, and inspect materials to maintain tight tolerances and quality standards Perform basic machine setup, adjustments, and routine maintenance on saws and fabrication tools Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and PPE requirements in a manufacturing environment Work closely with engineers, welders, and assemblers to support production schedules Document work performed, material usage, and any nonconformances or rework needed Contribute to continuous improvement, 5S, and lean manufacturing initiatives on the shop floor Saw operation (band saw, cold saw, chop saw) Metal and composite material cutting Blueprint and technical drawing reading Use of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, tape measures) Basic machine setup and preventive maintenance Quality inspection and tolerance verification Material handling and shop safety Lockout/tagout procedures Basic fabrication and deburring 5S and lean manufacturing practices Benefits Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Qualifications / Certifications OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 General Industry certification preferred Forklift or material handling certification a plus Basic fabrication or machining coursework or vocational training preferred Ability to read blueprints and use precision measurement tools (calipers, tape measure, squares) Familiarity with lockout/tagout and shop safety procedures #J-18808-Ljbffr Reporter Newspapers
