Contract | Nights | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Medical Acute Care Unit serving a general medical patient population
• Maintain nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5/6 on night shift, collaborating with Patient Care Technicians available 24 hours per day
• Monitor patients on telemetry using Philips monitors; strip interpretation is handled by dedicated central station monitor technicians
• Work alongside charge nurses and house supervisors present 24/7 to ensure safe, coordinated unit operations
• Participate in floating rotation as needed per hospital staffing requirements
• Adhere to every-other-weekend scheduling requirement and fulfill 3 of 6 required holidays throughout the contract period

Required Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (or confirmation that the application process has been initiated)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• General Medical/Surgical nursing experience
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Must be able to comply with a drug-free workplace policy and produce a negative drug screen

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience as a travel RN in a general medical or surgical setting
• Familiarity with telemetry monitoring in an acute care environment
