On-site Required (must be local or relocate to Jackson, MS area) Start Date: ASAP Contract: Until 09/30/2024 (Extensions highly possible) Rate: $90/hr on W2 Shift Hours: 8 AM to 5 PM (40 Hours per Week). Position Description

OTSS- MDEK12 – Mississippi Department of Education The Mississippi Department of Education has a current goal for every community to effectively use a World-Class Data System to improve student outcomes. This goal has an outcome to increase the availability of quality data to drive decisions that improve student outcomes. We are planning to satisfy this goal in part by modernizing our current student information system along with improving the quality of data in connected systems. This will include web-based application development, and creation of dashboards and reports that will improve access, accuracy and ease of use for all stakeholders.

Job Description

The SharePoint Administrator will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and guiding the progression of SharePoint to leverage optimal workflows that are aligned to achieve organizational business goals and objectives.

Education Level

Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science or equivalent or 5 years of experience using SharePoint. Advanced knowledge of business process analysis and function specification. Experience working with and communicating cross-functional groups (development, QA, production, stakeholders, etc)

Required Skills/Experience

• Microsoft SQL Server
• Microsoft SharePoint Server
• Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
• Experience with Education domain experience with State/ Federal Government
• Exp with Student Information system.
• Thorough understanding and hands on experience using Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL)
• Thorough understanding and hands on experience using Microsoft SharePoint Server 2016
• Thorough understanding and hands on experience using Active Directory and Azure Active Directory
• Thorough understanding of best practices regarding farm design and security permissions
• Experience with migrating from on-prem SharePoint to SharePoint Online
• Experience with ADFS, Azure AD Connect, and modern authentication methods such as OAuth
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Experience in writing technical documentation
• Working knowledge of SharePoint workflows

Compensation: $90.00 per hour
