Carilion Clinic is seeking a dedicated Psychiatrist to join their team in the Roanoke and Christiansburg region of Virginia. This full-time position supports Inpatient Psychiatry across Roanoke and Christiansburg, alongside ambulatory responsibilities in the Gaining Access to Care Clinic (GAP) and Emergency Department. Practice Info Carilion Clinic is a not-for-profit integrated health system serving western Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley. Carilion New River Valley Medical Center is a 146-bed acute-care medical center offering modern diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. The facility features a Level III Trauma Emergency Department. The practice opportunity includes inpatient care including ECT, outpatient care, and medication management. Growing hospital consultation services are provided to patients at Carilion New River Valley Medical Center. Responsibilities Diagnose and treat human disease, illness, and injuries and practice evidence-based medicine. Prescribe medically necessary medications and treatments. May serve on various Carilion and/or hospital committees. Complete necessary documentation for patients' health information records. Support Inpatient Psychiatry in both Roanoke and Christiansburg with ambulatory responsibility in the department's Gaining Access to Care Clinic (GAP) and Emergency Department.
