Inside Sales Representative – 4N0001 (General) Key customer contact and consultant at United Rentals branches, responsible for recommending solutions, quoting, selling, and fulfilling orders for equipment and services based on customer needs. Drive sales and branch growth while delivering outstanding customer service. Process rental quotations, reservations, and contracts. Establish new rental and sales accounts by serving walk‑in and call‑in customers. Negotiate prices on equipment rentals and contractor supplies in accordance with pricing policies. Dispatch delivery trucks and manage customer expectations regarding delivery. Generate leads for new business and communicate leads with Outside Sales Representatives. Warm call on lost and/or dormant accounts to retain business. Maintain a clean and presentable showroom, sufficiently stocked with merchandise. Perform other duties as assigned. Process rental quotations, reservations, and contracts. Establish new rental and sales accounts by serving walk‑in and call‑in customers. Educate customers about proper equipment use. Coordinate with all inside and outside branch employees for customer satisfaction. Coordinate and track daily equipment pickups and returns. Run reports to monitor equipment and facilitate smooth operations. Maintain accurate inventory records of branch assets. Perform other duties as assigned. Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience. Knowledge of fluid solutions related products and applications preferred. Strong sales and customer service skills. Educate customers on proper usage and safety procedures. Ensure accuracy of all contract‑related information in the computer system. Coordinate and track daily equipment pickups and returns. Run reports for equipment monitoring and operation. Coordinate with inside and outside employees for customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate inventory records of branch assets. Associate's degree or equivalent (Bachelor's preferred). Strong customer service orientation and sales experience/skills. Proficiency with MS Office (Word and Excel). Establish new rental and sales accounts through telemarketing and call‑in customers. Process quotations, reservations, contracts, and invoices. Educate customers on usage and safety. Ensure accuracy of contract information in the system. Coordinate and track daily equipment pickups and returns. Run reports for equipment monitoring. Coordinate with inside and outside employees for customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate inventory records of branch assets. Associate's degree or equivalent (Bachelor's preferred). Strong customer service orientation and sales experience/skills. Proficiency with MS Office (Word and Excel). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Engineering aptitude for sizing, quoting, installing, and maintaining cooling, heating, drying, air quality, and power distribution projects. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record. Ability to drive an F-250 truck, cargo van, and/or trailer for deliveries and to obtain a DOT medical card. Ability to be on call as needed (on‑call pay included). Inside Sales Rep – Matting Solutions Accounts Receivable & Payment Management: prepare daily AR bank reports, apply payments, conduct collections, and follow up on outstanding AR issues. Sales Billing & Invoicing: generate and bill daily sales, distribute invoices, audit for accuracy, and resolve discrepancies. Customer Service & Communication: serve as primary contact for inquiries, assist sales reps and project managers, and maintain strong relationships. System & Data Management: process orders using RentalMan and URMT systems, manage credit applications, maintain customer contact information, and update spreadsheets. Administrative Support: complete vendor forms, W-9s, COI requests, and coordinate on‑call schedule. High School diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred. 2+ years experience in inside sales, billing, AR, or customer service. Strong analytical, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and data management. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple priorities. Detail‑oriented with strong problem‑solving skills; customer‑focused and service‑oriented. Proficiency with ERP systems is a plus. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
