Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to an adult and geriatric patient population on a telemetry unit with a 1:4–5 nurse-to-patient ratio across a 16-room unit
• Manage and monitor patients with diagnoses including CHF, MI/chest pain (pre- and post-cath), dysrhythmias (pre- and post-device implants), hypo-/hypertension, pleural effusion, sepsis, and PE/DVT/vascular issues
• Accurately document patient care and clinical information using Epic and communicate effectively using SBAR methodology
• Administer and manage medications utilizing Pyxis medication dispensing system
• Float within the facility and within scope of practice as needed
• Adhere to holiday work requirements and scheduling policies as outlined by the facility

Required Qualifications

• Active Georgia RN license or valid Compact RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum of 2 years of telemetry nursing experience (first-time travelers accepted)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR is required
• Ability to work every other weekend as scheduled
• Full compliance with onboarding requirements; all compliance documents must be submitted by the Tuesday prior to start date

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Pyxis medication dispensing systems
• Familiarity with SBAR communication framework in a fast-paced telemetry environment
• Prior travel nursing experience in a telemetry or cardiac step-down setting
