Requirements Emergency Medicine Physician Job RequisitionCHRISTUS Good Shepherd Medical Center - Longview FSEDPosition Title Emergency Medicine Physician Facility CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Medical Center - Longview FSED Position Requirements Education and Training Provider must have completed a residency in an ACGME or AOA accredited Emergency Medicine training program. Internal Medicine and Family Medicine trained physicians are not accepted. Clinical Experience New graduates are accepted. Applicants must demonstrate active Emergency Department practice within the past 12 months and provide documentation of 100 Emergency Department hospital procedures performed at a fully accredited facility within the past 2 years. Licensure Active unrestricted Texas medical license required. Active DEA registration with Texas address and schedules 2, 2N, 3, 3N, 4, and 5 required. License and DEA must be fee paid. Fee exempt licenses and registrations will not be accepted. Board Certification Board Eligible or Board Certified in Emergency Medicine through ABMS or AOA. Providers who are not board certified must demonstrate active participation in the examination process leading toward certification. Required Certifications ACLS required. ATLS required. Board Eligible Emergency Medicine physicians must maintain ACLS and ATLS certification until ABEM or AOBEM board certification is obtained. Credentialing Requirements Immunizations Hepatitis B series of 3 doses or positive titer. MMR series of 2 doses or positive titer. Varicella series of 2 doses or positive titer. TDAP within the last 10 years. Current seasonal influenza vaccine. TB screening by QuantiFERON, QuantiFERON TB Gold, T Spot, or 2 step TB skin test. Case Logs Documentation of case logs or case summary required showing total number of cases, dates, and locations for the past 2 years for all core and supplemental privileges requested. Continuing Medical Education Completion of the following CME courses prior to orientation: Treatment of Hypertension in Pregnant and Postpartum Patients Overview of Postpartum Hemorrhage Copies of CME certificates from the previous 2 years are not required. Required Procedures Moderate Sedation Deep Sedation Malpractice Coverage Professional liability coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $3,000,000 aggregate. Additional Facility Information FPPE is required for all initial privileges requested and must be completed within 6 months of initial approval. Coverage Model: 50 hours of physician coverage daily. 30 or more hours of NP/PA coverage daily. Hospital Beds: 425 Trauma Designation: Level III Trauma Center EMR: Epic with Abridge AI Note Emergency Department Statistics Annual Volume: Approximately 8,500 visits Patients Per Day: Approximately 23 Emergency Department Beds: 12 EMS Arrival Rate: 8.5% Must CC at: CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Emergency Center-Kilgore, CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Medical Center-Longview & CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Medical Center-Marshall
