Job Opportunity

Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Step-Down ICU and ICU Units

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Step-Down ICU and ICU units. The ideal candidate should possess strong ICU experience, particularly in a Level 1 Trauma Center, and must be willing to float down to the Step-Down ICU as needed.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Illinois RN License
• Current CPR and ACLS certifications
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program; education verification is required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide high-quality patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments following approved nursing techniques, policies and procedures, and standards of care.
• Document all patient care according to established standards.
• Develop, initiate, and execute a personalized patient plan of care as prescribed by the physician or hospital policy, including education for patients and families.
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement initiatives, which may include shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise to support other units/departments in the patient's longitudinal plan of care.
• Employ critical thinking to ensure patient safety and enhance patient experience, escalating concerns as necessary.

Shift Information:

7:00 PM - 7:30 AM
