Occupational Therapist - Travel Contract

Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT in Wichita, KS. We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Therapist to support patients with injuries, illness, or disability in regaining or improving daily living skills while working in a large acute care hospital setting.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor‘s, Master‘s, or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Active KS Occupational Therapist license required to start the assignment.
Minimum 6 months acute care hospital OT experience required.
BLS certification from AHA or ARC required.

Preferred Qualifications

Trauma experience preferred.
Comprehensive stroke experience preferred.
Experience with Meditech EMR preferred.
Previous experience working with general acute care DME and high-volume consult loads preferred.

Assignment Details

Shift Hours: 0800-1600.
Typical patient assignment: approximately 8-10 patients per OTR per day with an OT daily consult census near 250.
Team model: approximate 2:1 OTR to COTA staffing ratio; therapy team headcount approximately 30 with multiple FTEs.
Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams expected.
