Job Description
Our client, a downtown area law firm, is looking for an Accounting Assistant to join their team. This is a direct hire, full time, in-office position.
Position Description:
- Cash receipts / Daily Deposit (shared among team members)
- Client billing calculation and invoice preparation for multiple billing attorneys
- Finalize Client Data Sheets. Payroll processing (shared among team members)
- Prepare monthly fixed asset depreciation/amortization schedules
- Answer inquiries and queries pertaining to client accounts
- Process/pay monthly partnership credit card charges
- Reconciliation of petty cash
- Accounts payable / daily check requests
- Cross-train with other members of the accounting team
- Occasional travel to the firm’s other offices
Key Competencies:
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Mathematical skills
- Organization and Time Management skills
- Flexibility
- Analytical thinking
Qualifications:
2 -Year Associates Degree or equivalent years of experience in accounting.
Willing to work overtime as needed.
