Position: Quality Systems ManagerSummary of Position:The Quality Management System (QMS) Manager is responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and continuously improving the company's Quality Management System to ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, customer requirements, and applicable aerospace industry standards. This position leads internal and external audit activities, manages corrective and preventive actions, monitors quality performance, and drives continuous improvement initiatives. The QMS Manager works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure processes are effectively implemented, documented, and maintained to support operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.Essential Functions: Daily roles include collaborating in a team-oriented environment with cross functional workers.Developing and implementing quality control systems to ensure consistent product standards.Monitor production processes and inspect outputs at various stages.Identify areas for improvement and lead initiatives to enhance quality.Ensure compliance with internal and external standards (e.g., ISO, regulatory bodies).Train and mentor staff on quality standards and procedures.Analyze data and prepare reports on quality performance and issues.Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, engineering, and customer serviceManaging small project teams to develop, execute and complete assignmentsDocumenting operational tasks and reporting to upper-level managementMaking operational and process decisionsSolving problems creativelyOrganizing and delegating assignments to team membersExceptional attention to detail and time management skillsManagers may have prerequisite skills and qualifications such as exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skillsStrong understanding of industry standards, business operations and regulatory requirementsOther Responsibilities: Leads daily quality systems activities ensure consistent execution of AS9100‑compliant processesOversee document control and configuration managementManages internal audit programGuides corrective and preventive action workflowsSupervises quality systems trainingMonitors compliance performanceSupports staffing and workload planningFacilitates cross‑functional communicationEnsures readiness for external auditsPromotes a culture of quality and complianceRequired Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:ISO 9001 (minimum experience)Aerospace background preferred (AS9100 experience highly desired)Internal auditing experienceBasic blueprint reading knowledgeMetrology / inspection backgroundDocument control and quality systems experienceCorrective action and root cause analysis experienceProven experience in quality management or quality assurance roles.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001, Six Sigma, or Lean methodologies.Excellent communication and leadership abilities.Proficiency in quality management software and data analysis toolsDeep knowledge of quality systems, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.Apply today and build your future with Visioneering.
