Maintenance Engineer I Location: Grapevine-Colleyville ISD Facility Services - Grapevine, Texas Job Details Job ID: 5532232 Application Deadline: Posted until filled Posted: Feb 10, 2026 6:00 AM (UTC) Starting Date: Immediately Job Description JOB TITLE: Maintenance Engineer PAY LEVEL: Auxiliary 4 REPORTS TO: Maintenance Lead CALENDAR: 261 days/year DEPT/SCHOOL: Facility Services Department WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Non-Exempt PRIMARY PURPOSE: Assume responsibility for the safe condition of assigned facilities, including repairs to doors, windows, ceiling tile & grid, floor coverings, toilet stalls, lockers, hardware, etc. QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or GED. Minimum of three years experience in general or specialized maintenance experience. Technical training/certification preferred. Meet minimum physical requirements. (Pre-employment examination required) Valid Driver’s License. DUTIES: Examine assigned facilities for purpose of general maintenance. Enter and complete work orders as requested. Responsible for safe condition of assigned facilities. Must have regular and consistent attendance. Perform other duties as assigned. EQUIPMENT USED: Power tools (drill, saw, etc.), hand tools, welder (gas and electric air), shop tools (band saw, table saw), ladders, lifts. WORKING CONDITIONS : Continual walking and standing; frequent heavy lifting and carrying; climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and reaching. Work outside and inside. Exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, fumes, and odors. Exposure to mechanical, electrical, and chemical hazards. Work around moving objects or vehicles.
