Locums Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) Heart Failure Cardiology

Cardiology Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Join a well-established inpatient cardiology team at a respected 300-bed Level II Trauma Center in Salt Lake City. This assignment supports the Heart Failure service during a maternity leave and is ideal for an experienced Heart Failure NP or PA who enjoys managing complex cardiac patients in a collaborative hospital setting. The hospital has earned national recognition for cardiovascular care and clinical excellence.

Assignment Highlights

Provider Type: Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
Setting: Inpatient
Assignment: November 2026 January 2027
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-4:00 PM
No call
EPIC EMR

Responsibilities

Daily inpatient rounding
Heart failure evaluation and management
Collaborate closely with cardiologists, nursing, case management, and ancillary staff
Optimize guideline-directed medical therapy and coordinate discharge planning

Requirements

Active Utah NP or PA license
Active Utah DEA
Heart Failure certification/experience required
Recent inpatient cardiology/heart failure management experience
Comfortable independently managing hospitalized heart failure patients
