Overview Description Responsible for helping to maintain or restore maximum functioning of the patient's cardiopulmonary system in accordance with physician orders and/or departmental protocols. Required to exercise initiative in developing ideas or in responding to or adjusting problem situations. Work processes and assignments for patients of all ages frequently require the incumbent to interpret and apply operating procedures, technical standards, and/or protocols to problems of varying degrees of complexity. Required Qualifications Coursework/Training: ASTEP Program or equivalent education/experience National Registered Polysomnographic Technologist - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists upon hire -OR- National Certified Polysomnographic Technician - Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists upon hire -OR- National Sleep Disorders Specialty - National Board for Respiratory Care upon hire National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire 2 years of recent experience in the field of Sleep Study technology Why Join Providence? Pay and Benefits Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate\'s placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
