**Good Guys Contracting is hiring a Sales Consultant to sell exterior remodeling and design services on Long Island.

** We’re looking for real estate professionals who want to bring their relationship-building and sales skills to a new industry—helping homeowners transform their homes with siding, roofing, windows, and decking.

Base salary plus commission | Expected first-year total compensation: $75,000–$110,000

You’ve learned how to earn trust, understand a homeowner’s priorities, and guide people through important financial decisions. We provide the leads. No door knocking or generating your own sales opportunities required.** You can focus your energy on consulting with homeowners, presenting solutions, following up, and closing sales.

What you’ll do:** - Consult with homeowners about their exterior remodeling goals, design preferences, and budgets. - Help customers understand their options for siding, roofing, windows, and decking. - Present detailed proposals, answer questions, and guide customers through the sale. - Manage your pipeline and follow up consistently. - Coordinate with our production team for a smooth project handoff.

Who we’re looking for:** Someone personable, driven, organized, and coachable. You listen well, communicate clearly, and take ownership of your results. Construction sales experience isn’t required. We’ll teach you our products and sales process.

Responsibilities 

• Consult with company-provided leads to understand homeowners’ exterior remodeling goals, design preferences, and budgets.
• Guide homeowners through options for siding, roofing, windows, decking, and exterior design services.
• Coordinate site visits, measurements, and project information needed to prepare accurate proposals.
• Present detailed proposals and clearly explain scope of work, pricing, and available options.
• Answer questions, address concerns, and help homeowners move forward with confidence.
• Follow up consistently with prospective customers and ask for the sale.
• Maintain accurate records of customer conversations, follow-up activities, and sales opportunities in our CRM.
• Meet sales goals while providing a professional, responsive customer experience.
• Coordinate with the production team to communicate project details and customer expectations after the sale.
• Participate in sales training, product education, and team meetings.
• All sales leads are provided by Good Guys Contracting. No door knocking or self-generated prospecting is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in real estate sales or another consultative sales role, with the ability to build relationships and guide customers through significant purchasing decisions.
• Strong listening, communication, and presentation skills. 
• Consistent follow-up habits and the ability to manage multiple prospects without letting opportunities fall through the cracks. 
• Confidence discussing budgets, explaining value, addressing objections, and asking for the sale (we DO NOT have a high pressure closing process-we train our sales team to use a question based approach). 
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when preparing proposals and documenting customer expectations (this is a must, attention to details is super important). 
• Comfortable using CRM software, email, video meetings, and digital proposal tools.
• Coachable and willing to learn exterior remodeling products, design options, and our sales process. 
• Self-motivated and accountable for sales activity, customer communication, and results. 
• A professional, honest approach that puts the customer’s needs first. 
• Prior construction or remodeling sales experience is welcome but not required. We provide training on our products and process.**
