Production Supervisor - Night Shift

Production ManagerPlans, assigns, and monitors the production of product, ensuring smoother and consistent operation to satisfy internal and external customer requirements. Take pride in your work by providing a clean & functioning product for our customers.Duties and ResponsibilitiesCoordinate personnel structure and staffing levels to accomplish the production of product. Maintain department ISO 9001 quality requirements. Interview and recommend applicants for hirePlans and coordinates work, trains and motivates, monitors, and evaluates performance of production molding machine employees; ensures their ability to safely operate equipment; counsels, records and disciplines as necessaryDevelops Team Leads to effectively oversee the daily routines of their assigned employeesMakes necessary adjustments on injection molding machines to produce quality products safely to acceptable standards. Responsible for new machine startup and testing of new productsMonitors and measures production against production standards for their shiftInteraction with other departments and molding facilities in scheduling of machinery and resourcesResponsible for monitoring, tracking, recording, and ensuring that all equipment is producing to standard cycles, weights, and quality requirements as outlined in provided work orders and BOMsResponsible for conducting first article inspections in accordance with provided product sketchesUtilize and incorporate the use of 6S and 5Why strategies in the plant.Work safely to prevent on-the-job injuries by following Buckhorn policies and OSHA StandardsOn call 24 hours a day 7 days a weekEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma/GED; requiredCollege Degree, AA required/Bachelors, preferredLeadership experience, 2 years requiredFive plus years' experience in plastic molding manufacturing; preferredLean Manufacturing experience, preferredDesire to take on new challenges/opportunitiesEvolve through continuous improvementAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentBe highly self-motivated and directedFlexibility for relocation; preferredKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesLANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to do two mathematical operations to arrive at the solution.REASONING ABILITY:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
