Senior Construction Estimator – Hard Bid Division nitial document review through final proposal submission for public, private, municipal, and federal projects. This role is ideal for a highly organized and aggressive estimator who understands competitive hard bidding, subcontractor management, scope analysis, risk identification, and strategic bid leveling. Responsibilities Review and analyze construction draOverflow Construction Service, LLC (OCS) Location: Louisville, KY Job Type: Full-Time Industry: Commercial Construction / Government Contracting Position Overview Overflow Construction Service, LLC (OCS) is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Estimator with a strong background in hard bid commercial construction projects. This position is responsible for leading the estimating process from iwings, specifications, addendums, and bid documents Prepare complete hard bid estimates for commercial and government construction projects Develop subcontractor and supplier bid solicitation lists Perform quantity takeoffs and pricing analysis Level subcontractor proposals and verify complete scope coverage Identify project risks, exclusions, gaps, and constructability concerns Coordinate with project management and operations teams during turnover Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits as required Build and maintain subcontractor/vendor relationships Prepare bid summaries, clarifications, and proposal packages Assist with value engineering and alternate pricing Maintain accurate estimating records and bid tracking systems Qualifications Minimum 5+ years of commercial construction estimating experience Strong experience in competitive hard bidding environments Experience estimating federal, municipal, education, healthcare, multifamily, or commercial renovation projects preferred Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications across all CSI divisions Strong understanding of subcontractor scope coordination Experience with Davis-Bacon and prevailing wage projects preferred Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously under deadlines Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, and estimating software platforms We need someone to take lead and execute Preferred Experience Government/Federal contracting experience Design-build estimating experience Smartsheet, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Procore, or similar software knowledge Knowledge of MBE/WBE participation goals and public procurement processes Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Performance bonus opportunities Health, Dental, and Vision 401K Paid holidays and Personal time off About OCS Overflow Construction Service, LLC is a minority-owned commercial general contractor based in Louisville, Kentucky.
