System Development Engineer, ADC Software Ops - Seattle

Salary: $129,800 - 129,800 per year Requirements:

• We require a CSSLP certification or a bachelors degree.
• We need 4+ years of administrative experience across networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering.
• We require 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• We need 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• We require an active U.S. Government security clearance at Top Secret with SCI eligibility or higher.
• A bachelors degree in computer science or an equivalent background is preferred.
• 6+ years of administrative experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering is preferred.
• Experience programming in at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust is preferred.
• Experience using AWS cloud solutions in a DevOps environment is preferred.
• Candidates must be able to maintain an active TS/SCI clearance, with polygraph or an equivalent clearance as required by the government agency.
• We need someone who can work in a 24x7 on-call rotation and travel to data center or office sites as needed.
• Experience working with customers during incident resolution and operating effectively under pressure is required.

• We maintain network tools and systems within U.S. GovCloud and other U.S. Government air-gapped regions.
• We troubleshoot issues across systems and services, including deployment, validation, testing, and monitoring.
• We stand up new services and tools as needed.
• We collaborate with internal software development teams to improve systems and services in our scope.
• We diagnose and resolve critical system failures quickly and calmly in high-pressure situations.
• We build and grow production-quality tools that solve real operational problems using languages such as Python, Perl, Ruby, Shell, Java, and others.
• We investigate complex technical problems thoroughly and implement lasting fixes to prevent recurrence.
• We understand end-to-end modern cloud-hosted application stacks and provide technical solutions to business problems at global scale.
• We document issues and develop scalable solutions that can be sustained over time.
• We participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation and respond to critical events when needed.
