Specifically, you're pulling Affordable Housing applicant files, verifying eligibility, and confirming everything lines up with current regulatory requirements. The 24-hour turnaround expectation on file review is real, so if you work best with predictable, unhurried timelines, this one may not be the right fit. Beyond day-to-day file work, you'll track changes in LIHTC regulations and translate those changes into actual process modifications at the property level. You'll also participate in tax credit reviews conducted by outside entities, which means you need to be comfortable with external auditors asking pointed questions about your work. Annual TDHCA training attendance is expected, and if you don't already hold the HCCP designation, you'll be required to complete that training and pass the exam within your first two years. The travel commitment here is significant. Roughly half your work time involves travel, covering property visits, conferences, and training sessions. That's not a rounding error on the job description. Plan accordingly. What You Bring Direct experience reviewing affordable housing compliance files, particularly under the LIHTC program Familiarity with RealPage OneSite Tax Credit module. This is listed as essential, not preferred HCCP designation, or the willingness and eligibility to earn it within two years Working knowledge of HUD programs (a plus, not a hard requirement) Strong written and verbal communication.
