Forklift & Machine Operator - $19.15 (2nd Shift)

Job Description Schedule: Monday-Friday (2:00pm-10:30pm) with some weekend work and overtime. The Forklift Operator/Machine Operator supports safe, efficient, and productive set‑up, maintenance, and operation of machinery and forklifts, including forklift operations and machine handling such as stretch wrappers. Responsibilities Train and certify on forklift operation, hazardous chemical handling, and stretch wrapper use. Perform forklift operations on all lines: load trucks, complete pick sheets, operate roll‑up doors, manage inventory, perform pallet transfers, and reconcile finished product. Inspect machines for functionality, safety compliance, and industry regulations. Set up and maintain manufacturing equipment; keep lines stocked with packaging materials. Record compliance data on CCPs, production, and packaging materials. Troubleshoot and repair packaging equipment; handle chemical PPE procedures. Communicate with supervisors and leads regarding equipment status, quality issues, and line shutdowns. Properly start up, run, shut down, tear down, clean, and reassemble line equipment and pumps. Understand chemical handling procedures, process flow from source tank to filling process, and basic pump/valve/filter maintenance. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous manufacturing experience preferred. Proficient forklift operation and machine handling. Basic computer skills. Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, bend, kneel, stand for extended periods, work in confined spaces, and work at heights.
