What We Are About There are numerous lottery retailers, and Jasper’s recognizes that what sets us apart from other retailers is our dedication to Guest service and our clean, bright, and safe locations. Team members are responsible for ensuring that every Guest is delighted with their experience at our locations. Team members must have positive Guest interactions to ensure that Guests are not only satisfied, but delighted with their experience, whether playing lottery, dining in, or purchasing tobacco or alcohol products. Administrative Assistants, in addition to their responsibilities as a Team member, also provide administrative support by auditing daily, weekly, and period-end paperwork; ensure ATM’s and time-delay safes are filled, and assist the Regional Manager and supervisor in ordering, inventory levels, and investigating discrepancies. What the Job Is Team Member Functions Greet Guests in a warm and welcoming manner. Using proper carding techniques, ensure that no minors are allowed on the premises unless allowed by law. Educate Guests on menu, lottery, and other products. Offer and provide Guests who are dining in or playing ongoing lottery games with a complimentary beverage. Process transactions for lottery, food, tobacco, and alcohol purchases. Follow Jasper’s cash handling policies and procedures. Ensure that all alcohol service and tobacco sales are within both Jasper’s and City/State/Federal regulations. Always maintain the cleanliness of the location, including all Guest and Team member accessible areas. Perform inventory counts, including cash, lottery products, and tobacco items. Ensure that video lottery machines, tables, and seats are wiped down between each Guest. Gives a warm farewell and invites Guests to return. Balances cash and lottery products at end of shift. May assist in training new Team Members. Administrative Assistant Functions Sweep the video lottery machines, fill the time delay safe and ATM, balance the paperwork, and make and record the deposit. Audit Team Member paperwork. Communicate safe or paperwork discrepancies with supervisor or accounting support staff. Order change and products. What You Need to Have Education: High School graduate or equivalent. Must be able to pass criminal/credit background check. Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language of the work location and the Guests who typically visit. Must be able to perform simple mathematical calculations and complete computer data entry. Must hold a current Alcohol Service Permit (OLCC). Must be able to obtain valid Food Handler’s Card. Experience: Previous customer service experience and cash handling experience is a plus. Must be able to communicate and work with a variety of people and personalities in a positive manner. Needs to be Guest-sensitive and possess a sense of timing and be able to multi-task so Guest needs are met in a timely manner. Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment. Problem-solving skills are a must. Basic computer skills (scanning, e-mail, internet). A highly-developed sense of discretion and confidentiality is a must. Richard’s and Doozy’s locations provide our Guests with a clean, bright, and safe place to purchase and play Oregon Lottery products, dine-in, or have a beer.
