Position Overview The Long-Term Substitute – Computer Science provides classroom instruction and ensures continuity of learning during the absence of a permanent teacher. The Long-Term Substitute performs the duties and responsibilities of the absent teacher and may also provide instruction in a class that does not have an assigned teacher. This is a fall 2026 position. Computer Science Responsibilities Teach Computer Science courses within the Computer Science Pathway in accordance with Georgia state standards. Teach students ethical approaches to competition, user-centered design methods, and project management skills. Maintain and appropriately manage technological resources, including computers, robotics equipment, and other instructional tools, to prevent loss, damage, or misuse. Plan and facilitate in-field experiences, guest speakers, or field trips that provide students with exposure to computer science and related industries. Provide appropriate instructional support and study opportunities for students enrolled in AP Computer Science Principles . Support an engaging, inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, creativity, problem-solving, and technological literacy. Performance Responsibilities Provide classroom instruction to students in accordance with established lesson plans and instructional expectations.
