SBU Lean Project Specialist

OVERVIEW
This role is responsible for leading operational improvement projects, driving Lean initiatives, supporting production operations, and managing cross‑functional manufacturing projects throughout DMI Companies. Strong emphasis is placed on project management, execution, accountability, operational support, and continuous improvement.RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead operational and manufacturing improvement projects. Manage project timelines, accountability, and communication. Support production leadership with execution of operational initiatives. Conduct process reviews, time studies, and workflow analysis. Support WMS, ERP, MES, and MRP implementation initiatives. Monitor KPI performance metrics and operational reporting. Create standard work documentation and process procedures. Lead Kaizen, 6S, and continuous improvement activities. Support warehouse and material flow optimization projects. Train supervisors and crew leaders on Lean and operational best practices. Support cost reduction and productivity improvement efforts. Conduct audits related to process compliance, quality, and inventory accuracy. Assist leadership with operational problem solving and execution.EDUCATION & SKILLS
Bachelor's degree preferred in Industrial Engineering, Business, Supply Chain or related fields of study. Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement experience preferred. Project management experience is strongly preferred. Manufacturing experience required. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Experience with ERP, WMS, MES, or MRP systems preferred. Strong Microsoft Office skills required.WHY JOIN DMI COMPANIES?
