Hair Stylist – High-Traffic Salon You want to do hair, and you want a steady paycheck. At our SmartStyle salons inside Walmart, you don't have to spend your day scrolling on your phone waiting for a client to walk in. We have a built-in audience of thousands of people walking past our door every single day. If you are a licensed stylist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and likes the idea of your paycheck growing as you get faster and better, this is your spot. What’s In It For You? Uncapped Earning Potential: We use a production-based pay scale. This means the more guests you see and the more services you provide, the higher your hourly rate climbs. You aren't stuck at a flat "entry-level" wage if you’re producing at a high level. Retail Commission: Earn extra cash (up to 15% commission) just by recommending the products you’re already using on your guests. Instant Experience: Whether you’re a new grad or a seasoned pro, the sheer volume of cuts and colors here will sharpen your skills faster than any "boutique" salon ever could. What You’ll Be Doing: Full-Service Styling: Precision cuts, styles, vibrant color, highlights, and facial waxing. Real Consultations: Connecting with people from all walks of life and making sure they leave feeling confident. The "Clean Team" Vibe: We run a professional shop. That means we all pitch in on the essentials (sweeping, laundry/towels, scrubbing the bowls, and keeping the retail shelves stocked). If the salon looks good, we all look good. Tech & Operations: Using our simple POS system to check guests in and out and handle basic salon math. What We Need From You: A Valid License: You must have a current Cosmetology or Barber license. Reliability: High traffic requires a team that shows up. We need people who can work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends when we are skin-deep in guests. Energy: You’ll be on your feet, moving, and working with your hands all day. You should be comfortable with the physical pace of a busy salon.
