Lead the Journey from Day One
From the moment a new teammate walks onto our Petersburg site, you’ll be the steady hand guiding their start. As our Manufacturing Onboarding and OJT Program Coordinator, you orchestrate trainer assignments, welcome and mentor new hires, and make sure every individual gets hands-on learning aligned to our OJT Guides, Work Instructions, and Quality Plans.
What a day might look like- Arrange and track trainer pairings; facilitate onboarding sessions and provide mentorship during the early weeks.
- Deliver shop-floor On-the-Job Training (OJT) using approved OJT Guides, Work Instructions, Quality Plans, and other controlled materials.
- Evaluate skills and knowledge with JQS files to confirm employees can produce quality parts to spec.
- Monitor each learner’s progress; adjust training plans, trainer assignments, and work schedules in collaboration with management.
- Keep training records accurate and current: update databases, prepare learning plans, manage Kiosk access, and administer e-learning tools.
- Continuously improve content: edit OJT Guides and JQS files based on operator and manager input.
- Assess trainer effectiveness; recommend enhancements to trainer qualifications and processes; help recruit, select, and train instructors.
- Spot documentation or process gaps and partner with Training and Operations to close them.
- Support operational improvements across the site; at times, lead focused initiatives.
- Roll out training for Procedure, Work Instruction, and Quality Plan revisions, RCA-driven actions, and annual requirements.
- Champion new platforms and processes like our LMS, Beekeeper, and MES.
- Successfully pass a pre-employment drug & background screening
- Ability to lift, push & pull 10 to 50 lbs.
- Comfort wearing department-required, employer-provided PPE
- Stamina to stand and move throughout the department and shift
- Mechanical aptitude; prior industrial experience is a plus
