\n Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Thermal Spray Coating for a company based in Oldsmar, FL. \n Pay Rate \n
\n $16.00- $18.00 per hour, depending on experience.\n
\n
\n
\n Sc h edule and Hours \n
\n\n 1st shift – Monday - Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm\n
\n\n 2nd shift – Monday – Friday from 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm\n
\n\n \n
\n\n Thermal Spray Coating Technician Duties and Responsibilities \n
\n\n • Operate and maintain thermal spray coating equipment, including HVOF, plasma spray, flame spray, and wire arc systems.\n
\n\n • Prepare surfaces and apply coatings to components per engineering specifications and quality standards.\n
\n\n • Conduct pre-treatment and post-treatment processes to ensure optimal coating adhesion and performance.\n
\n\n • Perform quality inspections using non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques such as ultrasonic testing, eddy current, and metallographic analysis.\n
\n\n • Troubleshoot coating defects and implement process improvements to optimize coating performance.\n
\n\n • Work with R&D and engineering teams to develop and refine coating techniques.\n
\n\n • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, ISO standards, and company policies related to coating operations.\n
\n\n • Maintain detailed process documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and technical reports.\n
\n\n Thermal Spray Coating Technician Qualifications and Requirements \n
\n\n • High School Diploma or equivalent.\n
\n\n • 2+ years of experience in a thermal spray coating environment.\n
\n\n • Hands-on experience with HVOF, plasma, flame, or wire arc spray systems.\n
\n\n • Familiarity with coating inspection techniques, such as adhesion testing, hardness testing, and microscopy.\n
\n\n • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and process specifications.\n
\n\n • Knowledge of quality assurance standards (ISO 9001, AS9100) and industry regulations.\n
\n\n • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to analyze and resolve process-related issues.\n
\n\n • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.\n
