Buyer/Material Planner

Randstad is seeking an experienced  Buyer / Material Planner for our global healthcare and manufacturing client.

Location: Vacaville, CA (100% Fully Site-Based)

Position Type: 1 year contract with potential extension or hire

Pay: $41-$46/hour

Qualifications

Must-haves:

• Proven experience as a Buyer or Procurement Specialist with strong supplier-facing management skills.
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Oracle or NetSuite preferred).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency in Power BI to build functional dashboards.
• A natural curiosity for learning and mastering new software tools.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience using supply chain platforms like Fabriq.
• Background in a regulated manufacturing environment, such as Biotech or FDA-regulated facilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Convert MRP/MPS requirements into purchase requisitions and purchase orders, ensuring on-time delivery from external suppliers.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external vendors to resolve delivery issues, expedite orders, and track performance.
• Design, build, and maintain Power BI performance dashboards to analyze inventory levels, supplier reliability, and supply chain metrics.
• Monitor inventory proactively to identify potential shortages or excess stock, taking swift action to mitigate supply risks.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, and Finance teams to guarantee material readiness for daily operations and new product launches.
