Customer Service Associate - Temporary at Walgreens Pay: $15.00/hr - $17.50/hr (temp) Job Overview This temporary position is for a Customer Service Associate who will deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience at Walgreens. The role involves sales and checkout operations, store maintenance, and product knowledge. Responsibilities Model and deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience. Register sales on the cash register, provide courteous and efficient checkout service. Engage customers, greet them, offer assistance, resolve issues, and answer questions. Recommend items, trade‑ups, and companion items. Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges. Keep counters and shelves clean, merchandised, and take inventory. Check in and price merchandise as directed by the store manager or shift leader. Implement asset‑protection procedures and minimize profit loss. Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products. Construct and maintain displays and promotional signage. Assist with food item separation and stock rotation. Use store systems and equipment proficiently. Provide customer service for photo services. Assist with web pick‑up responsibilities. Help maintain store cleanliness and appearance. Follow company policies and maintain respectful relationships with coworkers. Complete special assignments and other tasks as assigned. Training & Personal Development Attend training and complete required PPLs as directed by managers. Basic Qualifications Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico). Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Preferred Qualifications At least six months of experience in a retail environment. Prior work experience with Walgreens preferred.
