Forklift Driver/Material Handler - GraveyardMonday – Friday from 11:00 pm - 7:00 am with overtime including Saturday and extended hours as needed.This Material Handler would be responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials to and from production lines and warehouse.Transport racks of material safely with forkliftEnsure proper packaging and labeling procedures are followedPerform inventory transactions with handheld device when moving materialAssist with other production functions as neededProper PPE Usage while performing all job dutiesAdhering to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and proceduresEnsure accuracy and quality of all deliverablesPerform other duties as assignedAssist in Monthly Inventory Cycle CountingA minimum of two (2) or more years of forklift operator experience in a manufacturing or industrial environmentAbility to communicate professionally and effectivelyAbility to work well and collaborate in a team environmentEffective time management and organizational skillsThe ability to successfully use a computer without assistance to complete assigned tasksThe ability to read and comprehend written instructions as required to complete assigned tasksWilling and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, to include wearing safety equipment, e.g. safety glasses, hearing protection, and other PPE as required by specific jobsWilling and able to work in a hot, humid, cold, and noisy industrial environmentHigh level attention to detailThe physical demands and work environment are representative of a typical sawmill environment. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. Noise level is moderate to high depending on the area of the mill. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk and hear. Requires close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.This position does not require travel to other Woodgrain locations.
