Green Bay Police Officer
The Green Bay Police Department is hiring Police Officers! Policing is a people-centered profession. While enforcing the law and responding to crime are important responsibilities, much of an officer's work involves helping people solve problems, navigating difficult circumstances, responding to people in crisis, building relationships, and making thoughtful decisions in situations that are often complex and unpredictable.
Our officers work with people from every part of our community and are often called during moments when someone needs help the most. Successful police officers are strong communicators, problem-solvers, critical thinkers, teammates, and public servants. They are able to listen, build trust, exercise sound judgment, remain calm under pressure, and treat people with dignity and respect.
We are looking for people with a wide variety of backgrounds, experiences, and skills. You do not need to have grown up dreaming of becoming a police officer to find a meaningful career here. If you are interested in a career where no two days are the same, where you can build relationships within your community, solve meaningful problems, help people through difficult situations, and contribute to public safety, we encourage you to consider a career with the Green Bay Police Department.
