Salary: $140,000 - $160,000 per year Project Manager – Aviation Engineering We are seeking a skilled and driven Project Manager to lead aviation engineering projects with a focus on technical excellence, client engagement, and timely, cost‑effective delivery. This role is ideal for a mid‑level professional with strong project oversight capabilities and a passion for airport infrastructure. As a key point of contact for airport authorities, state and local agencies, and partnering consultants, the Project Manager will foster strong relationships and uphold the firm’s reputation for quality and reliability. Familiarity with FAA design criteria and standards is essential, along with the ability to obtain and maintain PE licensure across multiple states. Ensure all project deliverables meet technical, quality, and regulatory standards, particularly FAA requirements. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including airport authorities, DOTs, municipalities, and industry partners. Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client presentations. Oversee project teams, schedules, and budgets to ensure successful execution and delivery. Contribute to the strategic growth of the aviation engineering practice through leadership and collaboration. Support strategic marketing efforts to promote Shrewsberry’s services within designated geographic regions. Maintain and strengthen relationships with key clients through proactive engagement and communication. Assist in the development of compelling proposals, including defining scopes of work and aligning with client objectives. Contribute to pursuit strategies and participate in client‑facing presentations to secure new opportunities. Utilize CRM tools to monitor and manage pursuit activity and client interactions. Conduct client meetings to understand project goals, technical requirements, and future opportunities. Lead the successful delivery of aviation projects, ensuring high‑quality outcomes are achieved on schedule and within budget. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers throughout the design and development process. Oversee and coordinate multidisciplinary project team efforts to ensure alignment and efficiency. Leverage project management software for task planning, resource allocation, progress tracking, and invoicing. Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) for assigned projects to ensure operational and financial goals are met. Collaborate with the Safety Officer to perform job hazard analyses and develop site‑specific safety plans that align with company and regulatory standards. Requirements – Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required; a focus in transportation or aviation engineering is a plus. Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in airside and landside airport design. Strong working knowledge of FAA design standards, project management practices, and client relationship management.
