Description

American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with at least 1 year of acute care hospital experience for a 13-week night shift travel assignment at a 502-bed facility in the Denver, CO area.

Details

• Respiratory Therapy department in a 502-bed acute care hospital in Englewood, CO
• Patient ratio of 10:1
• Uses Hamilton G5 and C1 ventilators
• EMR: Meditech
• Night shift: 5:30 PM – 6:00 AM
• Department staffing includes one charge RT and 8–10 clinical RTs per shift
• 13-week contract

Requirements

• Active RRT license and certification required (license required if applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of recent acute care RRT hospital experience
• Minimum 2 years of overall clinical experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS (AHA or ARC accepted; no certifications expiring within the first 30 days of start)
• NRP required for RT staff caring for neonates
• No gaps in work history totaling 90 days or more within the past 12 months
• US SSN and DOB required for consideration — no Canadian SSNs accepted
• One professional reference required

Additional Information

• Typical procedures include breathing treatments and ventilator assessments
• NICU/PEDS experience is preferred
• Level 1 Trauma experience is preferred
• Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility — no local candidates will be considered
• The ideal candidate is high-energy, patient-focused, and interested in critical care
