Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY)is adding a Psychiatrist - Outpatient to the group at  NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem . Harlem Hospital is a designated Level 1 Trauma Center and is recognized for providing centers of excellence in the areas of Bariatric Surgery, Breast Imaging and Sexual Assault Forensics. Our teams provide services for nearly 213,000 outpatient visits, more than 83,000 emergency room visits, and over 13,000 inpatient admissions annually. The Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic sees approximately 30,000 visits annually, serving Central Harlem and Northern Manhattan, including patients with serious mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders. Our team includes 4 Psychiatrists and 2 Nurse Practitioners, in addition to psychologists, therapists, nurses, case managers, and a medical Nurse Practitioner providing integrated medical care. Psychiatry residents and social work interns complete their training here.

Opportunity Details:

• Full-time outpatient position in the adult psychiatry clinic, Monday through Friday.
• Conduct comprehensive initial psychiatric evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide ongoing medication management.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary outpatient team of Psychiatrists, Nurse Practitioners, Psychologists, and Social Workers.
• Teach and supervise Psychiatry Residents in clinic, weekly 1:1s, and didactics.
• Participate in Departmental meetings and contribute to performance improvement and regulatory compliance initiatives across the Department.

Qualifications

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry.
• Active New York State Medical License.

Wages and Benefits include:

Annual Base Salary: $267,900* (board eligible); $278,200* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $438,690** (board eligible) and $450,020** (board certified) , which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

• Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000***.
• Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
• 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits):
  • Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
  • After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required.
• Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
• Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
