Role Description The Assistant Manager role at J.Crew Factory in Des Peres, MO is a full-time, on-site position focused on leading the sales floor and supporting store operations. This role includes driving sales through exceptional customer service, coaching and motivating team members, and ensuring visual merchandising and brand presentation standards are consistently met. The Assistant Manager helps manage daily tasks such as opening and closing procedures, inventory processes, and communication of store priorities. This position also assists with scheduling, training new team members, resolving customer issues, and fostering an inclusive, positive workplace culture aligned with J.Crew Factory values. Qualifications Demonstrated skills in retail sales, customer service, and client engagement. Experience with team leadership, staff training, and performance coaching. Ability to manage store operations, including cash handling, inventory, and visual merchandising. Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Comfort working in a fast-paced environment and adapting to changing priorities. Prior retail or supervisory experience preferred; fashion or apparel experience is beneficial. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
