Environmental Project Manager

Job Description

Seeking an operations-focused Environmental PM to lead remediation, decommissioning, waste management, and environmental restoration projects. This is not a pure compliance or permitting role—the ideal candidate has managed projects, contractors, waste streams, disposal vendors, and field operations while maintaining regulatory compliance.

• Manage remediation, decommissioning, and waste management projects from start to finish.

• Coordinate waste characterization, transportation, treatment, and disposal.

• Oversee subcontractors, disposal vendors, and field personnel.

• Ensure compliance with EPA, CERCLA, and RCRA requirements.

• Manage project documentation, manifests, and regulatory records.

• Develop cost-effective waste management and remediation solutions.

• Serve as the operational lead between customers, regulators, contractors, and environmental SME

Skills and Requirements

• Bachelor's degree

• 3–5+ years of experience in:

o Environmental project management

o Remediation

o Decommissioning

o Waste management

• Working knowledge of:

o EPA regulations

o CERCLA (Superfund)

o RCRA and Non-RCRA waste

o Waste characterization and profiling

o Transportation and disposal operations

o Environmental remediation projects

• Experience coordinating contractors, disposal facilities, regulators, and field teams. • • EPA contractors

• DOE contractors

• Environmental restoration firms

• Environmental consulting/engineering companies

• Hazardous waste or industrial waste organizations
