Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. AI & Automation: Build automation using AI and various finance and accounting tools to streamline operations, reduce manual effort, and improve the speed and accuracy of financial workflows. Lead with Data: Solid understanding of data models and advanced Excel; ability to structure, analyze, and present financial data to drive decisions General Ledger Management: Own the full-cycle accounting process, including journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliations. Month-End & Year-End Close: Lead close processes, performing variance analysis, and resolving discrepancies to deliver clean, reliable financials. Budgeting & Forecasting: Partner with leadership to develop budgets, financial plans, and ad hoc reports to support data-driven decision-making. Process Improvement: Develop and refine accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to drive operational efficiency and scalability. Collaboration and Vendor Management: Collaborate globally with our outside financial team. Ideal Candidate Skills Experience: 5+ years of progressive, hands-on accounting experience with increasing responsibility Agentic AI Operations: Hands-on experience deploying and operating agentic AI workflows within finance and accounting functions, including identifying automation opportunities and managing AI-assisted processes Industry Experience: Prior experience working in an agency or professional services environment Technical Knowledge: Strong command of GAAP and accounting best practices; experience with project-based accounting or revenue recognition Hands-on experience with QuickBooks, Brex, and Bill.com Proven ability to identify financial trends, resolve discrepancies, and translate data into actionable insights. Standards: Commitment to maintaining high standards of accuracy, compliance, and financial integrity across all deliverables. Compliance & Tax: Awareness of federal, state, and local tax regulations; assist with tax preparation, filings, and audit support. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. $100,000 — $130,000 USD
