Holiday Party Legacy of Aloha Scholarship Program Position Summary Assist Servers in providing the highest level of quality and service to our guests by being responsible for all preparation, interaction and steps of service needed to exceed guest expectations in the restaurant. Essential Functions Assist in preparing the restaurant for dining service by setting up sections, polishing and preparing linens, silverware, and glassware before they go to the floor, and assisting at setting them at the table. Greet all guests and co‑workers in a warm, personal, friendly manner. Assist Service Team as needed by removing dishes and glasses from tables or counters throughout guests’ meal, and taking them to the kitchen for cleaning. After a guest has finished dining, prepare the table by clearing and cleaning it and resetting for the next guest. Assist guests with any requests or concerns and take action to correct any problems. Stock service areas with supplies such as tableware and linens throughout the service period. Assist in removing trash from full receptacles and replacing liners. Take extra care to maintain the highest standard of cleanliness in each duty performed. Must be dependable, report to work as scheduled and on time, and follow all policies regarding scheduling and attendance. Work in a safe manner and report any safety concerns; personal, employee, or guest injury. Follow food safety program guidelines of handwashing, bare hands, hygiene, and health. Qualifications Guest Oriented – Ability to take care of the guests’ needs while following T S procedures. Working Under Pressure – Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations. Safety – Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety as well as safely operate and handle all required equipment, appliances, and tools. Must follow all safety policies and procedures. Active Listening – Ability to actively attend to, convey, and understand the comments and questions of others. Communication – Ability to communicate by speaking, effectively and clearly with guests, coworkers, and management. Ability to actively listen and understand the comments and questions of others. Response to direction – Receive and follow directions from supervisors; follow direction of computer‑generated tickets. Friendly – Ability to exhibit a cheerful demeanor toward others. Neat and well groomed. Skills & Abilities Experience: No prior restaurant experience required, although useful. Certificates & Licenses: Must take and pass all training tests 90% or higher. Must be at least 16 years of age. Physical Requirements Stand Constantly; Squat or Kneel Occasionally.
