Billing Specialist

Responsibilities

Kforce has a client in Augusta, GA that is seeking a Billing Specialist.Responsibilities:

• Communicate with internal teams and external partners to resolve billing and accounts receivable inquiries
• Support customers and internal stakeholders with invoice discrepancies and research-related issues
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on past-due balances
• Investigate and analyze billing issues, providing timely resolution
• Process and apply necessary billing adjustments as needed
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of billing activities

Skills

• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred
• 2+ years of experience in billing, accounts receivable, or accounting
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Proficiency in Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, reporting)
• Experience working with PDFs and document editing tools
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-visibility role

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.


We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
