Overview
Labor and Delivery Nurse (RN) – Travel in a short-term acute care hospital setting. L&D specialty based in Templeton, California. Start date: 09/21/2026 for an 18-week assignment. Weekly pay in the range of $2,613 to $2,717 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Night shift, three 12-hour shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). This assignment emphasizes antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum care with obstetric and perinatal responsibilities.

Responsibilities
- Plan and provide nursing care for patients and their families across antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum periods, including emergency scenarios
- Circulate for surgical deliveries (C-sections) and support the perioperative team; assist with epidural catheter placement and monitor status during and after administration
- Assess maternal and fetal well-being, monitor amniotic fluid status, vaginal bleeding, and recognize/ respond to abnormalities
- Develop and implement multidisciplinary, goal-directed care plans; educate patients and families on perinatal and postpartum processes
- Manage labor pain and support alternative analgesia when appropriate; document care legibly, accurately, and timely
- Demonstrate clinical judgment in perinatal emergencies (e.g., crash C-section, precipitous delivery, shoulder dystocia) and maintain patient safety within the LDRP model
- Collaborate with the healthcare team; maintain adherence to unit standards and EPIC EMR processes; no on-call requirements

Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice (California)
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- Minimum two years of Labor & Delivery experience required
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course; AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring
- EPIC electronic medical record experience required
- LDRP model experience preferred
- Ability to work the listed shift schedule and environment
