Role Description The Certified Personal Trainer role is a full-time, on-site position located in Harahan, LA. This role is responsible for designing and delivering safe, effective, and personalized fitness programs for members and guests, including one-on-one sessions and small group training. Day-to-day tasks include conducting fitness assessments, demonstrating proper exercise techniques, monitoring client progress, and adjusting programs based on individual goals and abilities. The trainer provides ongoing coaching, motivation, and education on exercise and healthy lifestyle habits, supporting a welcoming and inclusive environment. Additional responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized fitness area, ensuring equipment safety, collaborating with other wellness staff, and participating in member engagement activities and special programs. Qualifications Strong skills in Personal Training and Fitness Instruction, with the ability to design individualized and small group exercise programs. Experience with Circuit Training and Sports Coaching to support varied training styles and athletic performance goals. Knowledge of Nutrition principles to provide basic guidance that complements clients’ fitness plans. Current personal training certification from a recognized organization (e.g., ACE, NASM, ACSM, NSCA) and CPR/AED certification. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client-service skills, with the ability to work with diverse populations and fitness levels. Ability to maintain professional boundaries, uphold safety standards, and follow all facility policies and procedures. Previous experience in a fitness center, health club, or wellness-focused environment is preferred.
