Job Description
ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This role requires a dedicated ICU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to patients in a challenging and fast-paced environment. The candidate will work 12-hour night shifts and be expected to commit to working every other weekend.

Responsibilities

Deliver nursing care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and, as needed, float to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU).
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed while monitoring and assessing patient conditions.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient care.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in electronic systems.
Participate in continuing education and professional development activities.

Qualifications

Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) required.
Experience: 2-5 years of ICU experience mandated; experience in a Trauma Level I facility is preferred, but candidates from Trauma Level II settings may be considered.
Previous travel experience in nursing roles is preferred.
Experience with EPIC electronic health record systems is required.
Licensure: Current Massachusetts RN License is essential.
Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications are required.
A tele test will be administered on the first day of assignment; a pass/fail outcome is mandatory to continue in the role.

Additional Information

Local candidates will not be considered for this role. Applicants must be separated from previous employment for a minimum of 6 months to be eligible.
