Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Attorney to join our Omaha office. We are a collaborative team and seeking candidates that are willing to work closely alongside their colleagues in order to ensure high-quality and cost-efficient representation. In this role, you will manage a caseload, draft and review legal documents, conduct legal research, and represent clients in protecting their interests in Insurance Defense, Workers' Compensation, and/or General Liability matters.
Key Responsibilities
Manage defense litigation matters from inception through resolution
Analyze complex legal and factual issues and develop strategic defense strategies
Draft motions, briefs, pleadings, and discovery responses
Conduct depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations
Prepare witnesses and evidence for hearings, trial, and ADR
Communicate strategy, risk analysis, and recommendations to clients
Collaborate with partners, clients, and claims professionals
Qualifications
0-2 years of litigation experience in Insurance Defense, Workers’ Compensation, and/or General Liability
Licensed in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, or Missouri (Or ability/willingness to obtain licensure)
Strong motion practice and writing skills
Ability to independently manage deadlines and caseload
Excellent communication skills
Highly organized and detail-oriented
