AI Solutions Engineer

Full-Time Monday-Friday (must support East Coast business hours) Salary Range: $145,000-$150,000 Permanent Position Reporting Mode: 100% Remote from anywhere in the United States The Forward Deployed AI Solutions Engineer role is responsible for partnering with business units, understanding how work actually runs, and scoping and building AI and automation solutions in partnership with the people doing the work. This role brings engineering directly into operations to uncover and solve high-value workflow problems using AI and technology. This role reports to the Technology Team. The ideal candidate spends about 60% of their day with the business areas gathering requirements and mapping business workflows and 40% of their day building tools using technology/software development. The Forward Deployed AI Solutions Engineer works close to the business, maps workflows, identifies friction, validates constraints, builds working AI tools and solutions against real systems and data, and helps turn repeatable patterns into reusable product capabilities. Key Responsibilities Partner with business units to understand workflows, operational pain points, data constraints, compliance boundaries, and user adoption barriers. Define and present functional and technical requirements to both business and IT stakeholders. Investigate problems from process, data, compliance, user experience, and technical angles before proposing solutions. Scope and build solutions using Python, SQL, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, Claude, and other tools as needed. Build against real systems and data while respecting security, privacy, HIPAA, PHI, and operational control requirements. Deploy and operate AI tools and solutions in production, with metrics defined from day one for adoption, time saved, error reduction, and workflow impact. Partner with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to turn recurring workflow patterns into shared product opportunities. Required Qualifications 3 years building and shipping software solutions, with strong Python, SQL, Claude Code and Claude Skills. 2 years business analysis scoping out requirements or product owner type of experience Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field. Experience automating business workflows using Power Automate, Copilot Studio, RPA, low-code platforms, custom code, or comparable tooling. Passion for driving efficiency through AI and other modern tools. Practical experience applying LLMs, ML, automation, or data-driven approaches to operational problems. Consultative instincts and comfort sitting with non-technical operators to extract the real problem behind the stated request. Ownership mentality, including willingness to deploy, support, operate, and measure the value of what you build. Strong written and verbal communication for technical, operational, and business audiences. Ability to work inside regulated workflows with attention to privacy, security, access controls, and documentation. Comfort balancing speed, maintainability, and fit with existing business processes. Preferred Qualifications Prior forward deployed engineering, solutions engineering, implementation engineering, or embedded consulting experience. Experience integrating with enterprise systems such as EHRs, data warehouses, workflow platforms, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Graph, or Teams. Compensation Statement.
