911 Telecommunicator- Full Time

Job Title: Telecommunicator I & II (911 Communications) Hours: Full Time, 12‑Hour Rotating Schedule. Compensation: Telecommunicator I: $38,724; Telecommunicator II: $40,656. Hiring for 2 positions. Role Overview Position will be required to receive, prioritize and dispatch emergency and non‑emergency calls to appropriate agencies and provide emergency dispatch care by telephone. Applicant must be able to obtain and disseminate accurate information in an efficient and professional manner to all agencies. Must provide assistance to the public by providing a variety of information and direction; perform a variety of dispatch support duties and endorse a team environment. Applicant should be familiar with FCC rules and regulations, possess excellent geographic knowledge of McDowell County, have experience and professional use of telephone and computerized two‑way radio equipment, continuously analyze available information, monitor your channel, and assist all other communicators in the center.
