Respiratory Therapist - $35 - 38/hr (80120)

Registered or Certified Respiratory Therapist (RRT/CRT) We are an acute care and skilled nursing facility that values compassionate care, teamwork, and professional integrity. Education & Certifications Required Unencumbered registered or certified Respiratory Therapist authorized to practice in Colorado. Active CRT or RRT credential. Associate degree from an accredited school at minimum. Minimum of one (1) year respiratory experience in a skilled nursing and/or acute care setting. Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program. Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. Knowledgeable user of Point Click Care (PCC). Role Collaborating with the Interdisciplinary Team, the primary responsibility of the RRT/CRT is to perform respiratory/pulmonary therapy, management, rehabilitation, diagnostic evaluation, and direct care to residents with pulmonary deficiencies or abnormalities. A typical day includes reviewing shift assignments, monitoring vital signs, conducting respiratory assessments, performing laboratory tests, and communicating findings with the nursing and physician teams. Essential Duties Follow the resident care schedule/instructions as directed by nursing leadership in accordance with policies and regulations. Conduct focused interviews to identify resident needs. Assess signs and symptoms indicating physiological or psychosocial changes and document findings in PCC. Collect, analyze, and interpret data and information from health care team members, documenting diagnoses and coordinating care in PCC. Collaborate with the primary nursing team responsible for each resident. Communicate with physicians as required, ensuring electronic documentation of resident care needs. Comply with PHI and HIPAA policies regarding resident status disclosure. Plan outcomes for assigned residents and perform interventions in accordance with the care plan and agency policies. Adhere to emergency, safety, and infection control procedures. Promote effective interpersonal communication and create a collaborative environment with inter‑department personnel. Report changes in resident respiratory status to Directors of Nursing and Respiratory Care. Maintain a good working rapport with all team members.
