Job Title: Medical Technologist / Medical Laboratory Scientist

Location: 1200 Northside Forsyth Drive, Cumming, GA 30041

Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Schedule: Night Shift – 8:30 PM to 7:00 AM

Shift Pattern: Variable Schedule, 4x10s

Hours: 40 hours per week

Department: 702F Clinical Laboratory – Medical Technologist

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Technologist experience within the specialty
• One of the following certifications required:
  • ASCP
  • NCA
  • AMT
  • AAB
  • HHS
• No local candidates within 50 miles of the facility

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting

Job Summary

The Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist performs clinical laboratory testing and specimen analysis to support patient diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring. The technologist is responsible for accurately processing and analyzing specimens while maintaining quality and compliance with laboratory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing and specimen analysis in accordance with established procedures
• Process, evaluate, and report laboratory results accurately and efficiently
• Maintain quality control and quality assurance standards
• Operate, calibrate, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation as needed
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety regulations and accreditation requirements
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to support patient care
• Maintain accurate documentation and laboratory records

Important Notes

• Facility will only consider Medical Technologists and Medical Laboratory Scientists
• Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLTs) will not be considered
• 13-week travel assignment
• Night shift schedule: 8:30 PM–7:00 AM
• 40 hours per week
• Local candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible for this assignment.
