Position Medical Assistant Certified - USFTGP Women's Health Center (260001N3) Overview Under general supervision of the department manager, medical staff, nursing staff, and Sr Medical Assistant/Lead Medical Assistant, the Certified Medical Assistant follows policies, procedures, and professional guidelines. The Certified Medical Assistant provides clinical and clerical support such as patient rooming in addition to assistance with medical procedures, cleaning of equipment, chart preparation, obtaining referral notes, images and lab results prior to patient visits. Responsibilities Provide patient rooming, assist with medical procedures, clean equipment, prepare charts, obtain referral notes, images, lab results, and other clerical duties including answering phones, greeting patients, filing, faxing, and scanning documents. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED (Required) Clinical Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant certification, or MA-ARMA, and Basic Life Support Minimum of 3 months of experience in a healthcare setting Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic clinical procedures Skill in drawing blood for laboratory testing and proper specimen handling Competency in using electronic health record systems for accurate documentation and retrieval of patient information Proficient in performing clinical tasks, including patient rooming, and ensuring proper cleaning and maintenance of medical equipment Ability to prepare for and assist with medical procedures Demonstrates the ability to perform various clerical duties essential to the operations of the practice, including answering phones professionally, greeting patients, filing, faxing, and scanning documents Demonstrates all of the Medical Assistant KSA's Location USF Health South Tampa Center 2, Tampa General Circle, Tampa, FL 33606 Schedule Full-time, Monday–Friday Work Type On-site (eligible for remote work: no) Organization Academic Medical Group Inc. #J-18808-Ljbffr
